Our story began in 2009, when our founder, Akiva Resnikoff, created Fully Functional Cookies®, a line of cookies designed to do more than satisfy your sweet tooth. Over the years, The Cookie Department has grown, introducing exciting products like Snack Yums™, a fun and versatile snack you can pop or top; Crispy™, a premium cookie that redefines indulgence; and now, Buy a Bar Give a Bar™, a purpose-driven initiative to fight hunger one bar at a time.

Buy a Bar, Give a Bar was born from our desire to give back and make a difference. With every bar you purchase, we donate an equal number of bars to those in need through our Food for Thought program. Working in partnership with Farmlink and Feeding America Member food banks, we ensure these donations reach the people who need them most, delivering nourishment and hope.
